Ph.D. Workshops 2007

In November 2007, the Doctorate in Information Engineering of the University of Pisa will hold three workshops - one for each of the areas: electronic engineering, computer engineering, and telecommunication engineering, which characterise the activity of the doctorate. Below are the names of the chairs and the related doctoral curricula:

  • Electronic engineering
Advances in Electronic Circuits, Systems and Devices
    November 15, 2007
Chairs: Prof. Giovanni Basso, Prof. Paolo Bruschi, Ing. Domenico Zito
Curricula: Electronic bioengineering; Electronic measurements and instrumentation; Micro and nanoelectronic technologies, devices and systems
  • Computer engineering
Advances in Computer Systems and Networks

    November 12, 2007
Chairs: Ing. Alessio Bechini, Ing. Pierfrancesco Foglia, Ing. Giovanni Stea
    Curriculum: Computer systems architectures
  • Telecommunication engineering
    Advances in Telecommunication Systems
    November 14, 2007
Chairs: Prof. Filippo Giannetti, Prof. Stefano Giordano, Prof. Paolo Nepa
Curricula: Statistical signal processing and radar systems; Telecommunication networks; Communication systems

All the chairs belong to the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Pisa. The workshops will take place at the two branches of the Department of Information Engineering (Pisa, via Caruso 16 - electronic engineering and telecommunication engineering, and via Diotisalvi 2 - computer engineering).

The activities of the workshops are documented by the book Doctoral Workshops 2007, which contains the summaries of the presentations, that were prepared by the students in their role as future presenters as part of their preparation for the workshop. A copy of the book is available on request.
